People Are Nicer To Stinkers

The stink might make people nicer to you.

Skipping the deodorant might not get you invited to more parties, but according to a new study done at a university in Belgium, having bad body odor might make people nicer to you.

But not nice because they like you, nice because they pity you. The researchers say it's because stinky body smells are associated with vulnerability, which triggers feelings of concern.

In a study with 36 people, participants were more likely to share movie tickets and other items with people who smelled.

So people may tend to look down on stinkers, but on the other hand being smelly might make people give you stuff.
